GAH SO thank you to everyone if you subbed to the Tapas mirror to help me hit that subscriber threshold, but in fact a super helpful reader of mine over there told me how to hack the system and get that feature unlocked early! (By hacking I mean I just emailed a member of the support team)

The Inksgiving event ends tonight! If you read this in time, please consider supporting the comic by donating Tapas’ in-game currency, “ink.” You can earn ink for free by watching videos and other dumb advertising things, so if you have a little time, please consider getting your hands on some ink and donating to the comic. Expect some kind of thank-you doodle afterwards to express my gratitude :)

Onwards to the commentary I wrote for this page a week ago…

Mary talking to herself here can be interpreted a few different ways. She could ACTUALLY be talking to herself out loud, or this is just her internal thoughts being spoken for the audience, much like a soliloquy in a stage play or something. (Or she’s just talking to the poster the whole time lol)

For some reason I find internal monologue to be kind of clunky to write, especially since this comic in particular has a small cast of POV characters instead of just one. So if you just suddenly get the internal thoughts of a character that you aren’t used to hearing thoughts from, it can seem jarring. Or maybe that’s just me. Might just be me. But anyway, that’s how I chose to write this section, and now you know why.
