Scheduling this from the LA airport, but by the time you read this, I should be in Japan!
Please be being nice and take down the cross
We’ll find out on the next page :D
The only ones that fear crosses are demons, vampires, and Jesus. When he comes back he is going to be having traumatic flashbacks every ten seconds.
Speaking of JC, I guess that’s him in the last panel in the classic Sallman Head painting.
Regarding the backgrounds, one can get away with having simple gradients as long as nothing is happening there and we only see it from that angle. We see lots of cool stuff in the last panel so it suddenly being there when previously it wasn’t is odd. And seeing the cross and nothing else in the background is also weird. The last strip had a cool idea where the background is super blurry so I assume its way faster to draw.
The lack of chairs is fine when people are sitting, but when Mary was standing the lack of chair is evident.
I did how Mary’s dad has the cross directly over his head. If this were the Sims I could tell he had Jesus on the mind. And, um, I guess Jesus is also on Mary’s dad’s mind so that works out.
WHOOPS yeah I should have done a better job not forgetting the chairs orz. Ideally I’d do most of my “lazy” backgrounds like the blurry panel so the difference is less jarring, I just felt a little strapped for time on these. In the next scene I think I’ll experiment more with it!
I appreciate the feedback :)
ok, that settles it, luke definitely knows about the demony stuff….also, i second your opinion. i mean, technically crucification was a most brutal method of execution back then, hardly a comforting choice – not to mention that the bigger, more elaborate crosses come with a tortured looking jesus, all bloody and wounded, its fit to give you nightmares!
why not use something less gruesome and more neutral, like that fish-symbol? jews have their star, muslems their half-moon, buddism the lotus flower….only christians use a freakin torture device
Who said it was my opinion c:
Agreed though!
