This scene may seem like boring, pointless filler, and that’s because… It is.
Okay well there’s some Luke & Samur character development I wanted to get out of the way, but it’s mostly filler. I wanted a nice, brainless, easy to draw scene before all the craziness of Chapter 4, so here we are.
Well, and this will be a B plot for Luke that periodically comes back every couple chapters or so, so there IS a larger payoff. Eventually. Might not be until Chapter 6. Hope you can be patient.

Maybe that can be how Luke met Samur. Luke was given a magic Christian crossword puzzle and when he beat it he unlocked the spirit within: Samur. Now Luke and the body of an ancient spirit play children card games and write snappy magazine articles.

Okay for real though it’s been 12 hours since I read this comment and I still can’t unhear Dieus speaking with Pegasus’ voice.
And I just realized that if he did cosplay Maxie then it would fit in with his tradition of only having one eye.
