I’m writing this back on Jan 22nd, but by the time you read it I’m just wrapping up a trip to Europe. Phew I’m so glad I got a buffer done ahead of time.
Also, rip Hugh. First draft of this scene went down a bit differently, but then I did research and learned magical things like how chloroform rags are basically an invention by the movies and people who are choked out either only stay knocked out for a few seconds, or get permanent brain damage. Fun.
This probably still isn’t super accurate but it’s probably a little more accurate than other fictional kidnapping scenes… I’ll leave whatever sedative they inject him with nameless though to preserve what suspension of disbelief I have left.

also, why is that moron in first panel brandishing a cross at hugh? aside from being unable to look at it, he had no negative effects whatsoever to its presence….it does make the moron look like a wannabe vampire hunter though ;-)
I think Hugh said something once about crosses being stronger against Orev. So, they’re still trying to keep him from taking over.
Umm, where the thug is holding up the syringe, that syringe is empty. The plunger would be much further away if it was full.
If they were slowly depressing it to remove an air bubble there would be a stream of liquid or a drop on the tip of the needle when they were done.
