Been making good progress on our other comic projects, and I mean REALLY good progress. To the point where I’m not sure roomie will be worth working on much longer. We’ll still wrap up chapter 5 though so it has SOME kind of ending.
Also we were really enthusiastic for a while about the prospect of trying to get the next webcomic published by Webtoons but now I’m reconsidering that, because the flexibility of staying indie is really appealing. We just need our comics to pay our bills better, that’s all I REALLY want.
What was that advice some author gave? If you want to be a writer then write. Everyone has a hundred thousand words of absolute cringe in them that they have to write out before they can get to the good stuff. (I paraphrase)

I want Mary to get to the part about the “source of all evil”. That’s right: Trees!
Think about it. It all started when the Tree of Knowledge caused humans to sin via his snake ally (who you can see orbiting the castle / rock thingy). And ever since then the Children of Adam have fought a war against The Tree of Knowledge’s descendants.
That’s why Yahweh strikes down trees with holy lightning.

In Mark 11:12 Jesus is deceived by a vile evil tree and punishes it.
What was Jesus… a carpenter. Jesus invented the chair specifically so that humans would be financially incentivized to kill more trees. It is true justice that Jesus turned the children of his enemies into something useful and could be seen by all. Kinda like how Abraham Lincoln would kidnap his enemy’s children and use their face skin for his book covers.
The trees fought back of course when they became the Crucifix but like a true Shonen its just helped Jesus unlock his final form.
OK a shonen style remake of the bible would be hysterical

not exactly a manga, but some dude in my country basically ‘translated’ the bible into modern slang, and its hilarious! the adventures of jessy, his sandal boys and his bae maria magdalene……remember that water-to-wine thing? Maria: oi junior, make yourself useful and get us some more booze or this wedding will end up a snooze fest! XD the conservatives at my church were spitting feathers but couldn´t really argue against it since all the facts are correct and at least it got us kids to read the (new+improoved) bible
