Mary asking the important questions
Mary: Well at least we don’t have to worry about people looking through the window. And as we all know spirits can’t fly.
(Mary’s spirit text book screams in rage)
Mary: Hey wait, strip #130 happened.
Hugh: Hey yea. What the (poop) Orev!
Orev: Trololololololol.
I know its kinda cheating, but spirit can leave their hosts for a while and I am trying to remember if said pure spirits can go through walls. I assume they have to be in a host to nullify otherwise a, literally, unstoppable pure spirit could go around nullifying everything.
Or is it an Orev / spirit type specific skill set?
To answer your very specific lore questions since they probably aren’t gonna come up later xD
They can leave the host a while but it’s pretty dangerous so that’s why we don’t see it often. It’s like flinging yourself into the ocean and trying to swim to another boat before you drown.
Spirits can totally go through walls. They still can’t get past wards, though.
Spirits have to be in a host to use any of their powers.
The nullification is specifically part of Orev’s skill set in how he can trace sigils in the air. Other spirits (or humans) could do something similar with a sharpie though. There’s also ways you can do things verbally. Refer back to that time Samur half-exorcised Shaqr.
I honestly have no idea whether the next page will be more magic rules exposition or we’ll just move on without Mary or the audience understanding.
