The moral of the story is that a lot of people are out to get Orev.
Also, got good news and bad news.
Bad news: Going through some emotional stuff right now so I might not be very vocal in leaving comments here or replying to you people. Don’t worry, I won’t miss any pages.
I took out my emotions on my rowing machine my arms reeeaaaally hurt now.
Good news: THE FIRST PATREON Q&A IS UP GO CHECK IT OUT
I was so sleep deprived while coloring and scheduling this let me know if I missed something or drew something strangely…
Also, I noticed that the page disappears from view whenever I zoom in too much on my phone’s screen. It just suddenly turns black like the website’s background.
Actually, I just double checked it and it’s not as bad as it was. I was trying to zoom in to read the text bubbles, but it let me zoom in more before blacking out this time.
Interesting. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll poke around and see if I can find a solution.
I noticed you left out the “s” at the end of the phrase “thousands of times.”
ACK! thanks, I’ll fix that soon
ok, first and third panel are pretty much self-explanatory, but whats in the second – one demon trying to exorcise another?!
I was wondering about that too. If a cross makes Hugh weak, how can a demon hold it over another demon?
Boy, what a puzzle. I wonder if that will be answered in the next chapter (*choughyesitwillcough*)
Buddhist hosts can hold crosses, but Christian ones can’t?
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF I wish I was that clever but no that’s not the answer
Must be wood, then.
It would have been clever to have the repellant be a symbol in the hands of someone for whom it’s a token of faith.
It may have allowed, for example, a Star Trek fan to use a bit of Star Trek-themed jewellery to repel a demon, for example. Or for someone whose strongest belief is in his or her own self to literally be demon-repellant. Or, you know, whatever the story needs.
The fact that it’s wood means that nobody can suddenly use a chess king (with a cross on top) as a weapon/defense – unless the cross is made of metal, or maybe for some odd reason has a blessing (think of the Cardinal’s golf clubs from Dogma)
Not a bad idea. Good thing the world building is already kinda going that way. (The trouble is bringing it up in the story)
