020: In which Hugh is a weird kid
Mary’s phone background is based on this image. No idea who the original artist is. If anyone actually knows, let me know.
Initially her background literally WAS that image, because I didn’t have the time to draw something myself. But then I just couldn’t in good conscious use someone else’s art, even if I knew I was going to draw a new image later if the comic was ever going to get a printed version. So I ended up drawing something anyway.
On the bright side I was able to work in a little foreshadowing with it. Good luck deciphering things.
The image appears to be from the manga “The Devil is a Part-Timer” (“Hataraku Maou-sama!?” はたらく魔王さま!) The character is Hanzō Urushihara (漆原 半蔵) also known by his true name of Lucifer. The illustrations are by Oniku (029), so presumably that image of Lucifer would have been done by “029” although that version of Lucifer looks a lot like the Anime version, in which case the illustration might have been done by a nameless anime drone in the bowels of White Fox studio.
