We’re a little over ten pages away from the next big shift in the plot of this chapter which means I can finally pick different quotes for the page titles, oof. To think when I started this section I was like “psshh yeah there’s enough Proverbs to go around” but nope I had to repeat myself a bunch of times xD
So as you get older and older you store less energy (like my cell phone). Which maybe kinda implies that the energy storage capacity could reach zero which means the spirit has a theoretical life span, or they cannot leave their host for even a second (meaning they die when their host dies or when their host stops having useful emotions meaning they need a new host immediately).
Or the decrease is exponential (but like reversed) so it kinds plateaus and never reaches zero.
I’d say it’s more like a plateau but I haven’t really decided how it works outside of this dialogue
or maybe, if they reach a certain amount of resistance, they simply don´t need to store energy anymore
i´m curious about hughs widened eye in the last panel – merely shocked that one of them would touch him…or is that dude stepping on the symbol-circle-thingy disrupting the powerflow thats trapping him aka giving him a new chance to flee? because from what i remember from buffycharmed+co, disrupting the circle, even if just stepping on a line, is a BAD thing
Lol nah humans can come and go through circles as much as they want.
