Not enough of a buffer to continue with Monday updates while we’re in Japan next month, sorry! >.< But we have thumbed a lot of pages and set them up on our ipad to work on remotely so updates should pick back up once we’re back, no trouble
Tsir’ah should get a decent meal out of Mary’s chagrin, only enhanced by the spilt coffee now!
But does a demon feeding off negative energy have any direct (detrimental?) effect on the person, too, or do they only eat up what would have dissipated unused otherwise?
I think the idea is that “good” demons feed off the energy which would have dissipated unused otherwise (which has positive effect as it raises the person’s mood), while “bad” demons are CAUSING people generating negative energy.
This would explain drama creators on youtube. And the media. And politicians. I could keep going.
Mary is all sad now. Maybe because she hear the sad story about the previous host, that she willingly allowed a demon into herself, or realized that Samur and company has to be doing something tangentially misery inducing.
Well Samur is an angel so he doesn’t have to do those things
which is probably why he’s on such a high horse about it hmmm
Blarg. But I actually am confused on the differences between angels and demons.
I vaguely assume that their Dominion, Principalities, etc abilities are the same between angels / demons. And I completely made up that demons eat bad feeling while angels eat good feelings.
Ironically, in my version, an angel and demon pairing up would be symbiotic as one extreme emotion in one direction have a backlash in the other.
“You just one the lottery. Psych… no you didn’t”
“I just stabbed your dog. JK, its a trick blade”
Truly Samur is the one who is suffering. Having to help other? Gross.
Mary: course Samur is on a high horse. Dude lives up in heaven.
Samur: YOU ARE ALL BENEATH ME.
You did not completely make up that demons eat bad feeling while angels eat good feelings.
Neat, my guess was correct. It has been stated repeatedly that demons eat bad emotions but don’t remember it ever being explicitly stated that angels eat good emotions.
I don’t remember anyone stating the difference between the two so I just assumed that it was the type of emotions they eat.
clarification question: do demons need to *cultivate* misery to survive, or do the just need to be *around* misery to survive?
bc if it’s the latter, then orev’s apparent plan of finding miserable people to help seems like it’s a feasible way to survive without making too many enemies
I dunno DO THEY? or is Samur biased ;)
On the TAPAS website there is a whole extra 15-ish pages of content that…. actually still doesn’t fully answer the question. Dang it.
Samur acts more like a Demon than most Demons.
He just has poor social skills
They could just work in any number of government departments. Demons cultivating human misery would be completely indistinguishable from the usual experience.
while i can see samurs point, i honestly think that orev and his buddies do have good intentions…..and to be fair, humans are very good at making themselves and those around them miserable without zero influence from demons. so really i donĀ“t think we have to fear a demonic famine anytime soon ;-)
“Hhmm I can see their point, but I can also see the other point” yess my job as a writer is done xD
