Pokémon Type effectiveness in this game exactly follows the rules of the original source material, but you must be mindful of which type is attacking and which is defending. Moves have associated types as well, which aren't always the same type as the Pokémon using it.
This page lists Roleplaying properties and attributes of Pokémon and Moves based on their types, as well as specific Weather and Terrain that would trigger a bonus to Battle. These are not the end-all-be-all, and if a GM wishes to homebrew additional ideas or a Player suggests something new, they should feel free to do so.
