PC stands for Player Character. The main trainer PC is always based on a Playbook. They always have HP, 5 Stats, and at least one Pokémon.
Once a Pokémon has a high enough Bond stat with it's trainer, their actions will be controlled by the Player of their trainer and they will also be considered a Player Character.
